Founded by Robyn Hochglaube, D-Phi was born out of necessity. As a camp director, Robyn observed year after year the same trends in her female campers – the need to socialize with other girls, the desire to connect in a positive way, to be accepted for who they are, and a pressing pre-occupation with themselves and their bodies. Robyn understood these issues at their core.
Robyn was always referred to as “stocky” by friends and family, and was constantly being told to “trim down” since her pre-teens. An independent minded girl, Robyn usually took the road less traveled, and often found herself navigating through the social sacrifice that followed. No stranger to the trials and tribulations a young girl goes through, Robyn created D-Phi to help girls and their parents navigate through what can be a difficult and testing stage of life.
D-Phi is a place for girls. A community where we can be feminine, athletic, creative, healthy, smart, opinionated and talented, and love ourselves for everything we stand for.
Our Purpose:
Our Sorority helps girls realize the positive lifetime effects of true friendship, fun experiences, healthy living, exercise, and emotional and physical confidence. We provide programs that assist girls to better understand themselves and give them the tools to navigate through life confidently and powerfully.
